Kat Dennings was born on June 13, 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen was the mother of Ellen. She worked as a speech-therapist and poet. Gerald, her father was a professor as well as a molecular pharmacist. Dennings was raised as one of the youngest in a Jewish home. Dennings was educated at home and only short time in traditional school. This arrangement with homeschooling is the ideal choice for her since she was a child with the desire to be an actor as early as her stage. Dennings was able complete high school by the time she turned 14. Actually, by the time she was nine she already appeared in commercials. To pursue her acting profession, Kat Dennings relocated together with her family members from the city of her birth to Los Angeles when she finished high school. Kat Dennings, as she was known at the time started auditioning. Kat Dennings' acting debut came after having moved to LA after appearing in the HBO series "Sex and the City" in the year 2000.
