Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of fourteen. She was a kickboxer, boxer and wrestling prior to making her first amateur appearance at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd had an amazing three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent right in the first round. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015after signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in the first round via TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her debut fight as a bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability defeated McGill as she managed to finish her in the third round with a TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy in a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd didn't make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round by TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pounding and grounding her to the ground, gaining the TKO in the second round. She continued her dominance and picked up a more impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the first round. She also received the bonus for performance of evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. Ladd took home an unanimous decision in an intense back and forth battle with the fighters got her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie only needed 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC at ESPN 7. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority vote.
